ECLECTCOLLECT A design collective branding created between three independent multidisciplinary designers (Annette Bugansky, Lok Ming Fung and Visuallyod) to reinvent the perception of the applied arts to what could be described as ‘designcraft’ (A combination of great design with a contemporary approach to craft without compromise for original craftsmanship).
The aim of ECLECTCOLLECT is to offer a new fresh alternative approach to typical design products through their knowledge of materials, quality and experimental working methods. Its timeless appearance along with the tactile quality is what makes the work unique and exclusive. |
| Isles Isles is a collection of boxes made of black stained porcelain. Mini stilts are incoporated into the box as decoration.
Stilts are commonly used as a prop to prevent glazed pieces from sticking to the kiln shelves in the ceramics firing process. Each little glazed cup is clasped in place like a gem between the tripod arrangements. Shifting the role of a stilt from a making process function to decoration is a way to celebrate the techniques of ceramic making.
They are a limited edition of 18 boxes of each size only.
